Dr. Boruah has been in the medical profession since 1988. In addition to his main professional qualifications of MBBS, MD and PhD, he also has several honorary titles to his name, including Fellow of the Indian College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FICOG), Fellow of the Indian College of Maternal & Child Health (ICMCH), and PhD (Alternative Medicine).
Dr. Arun Madhab Boruah held the position of Chairman of the FDMSE (Foods, Drugs, Medico-Surgical Equipment) Committee of the Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) from 1999 to 2003. He was Organising Secretary for the All India Congress of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (AICOG) that was held in Guwahati in 2010. Dr. Boruah has contributed seven chapters to various textbooks and "Recent Advances" monographs. He has 17 publications to his credit in national and international journals and has participated as faculty at numerous conferences and congresses at the state, zonal, regional, national and international levels.
